Also present were County Treasurer Joni Deorsam, County Tax Assessor-Collector Maggie Del Toro; County Sheriff Terry Crawford, Constable #1 Bob Price; County Auditor Alice Chapman.
The Court opened with the Honorable William R. Mitchell giving the invocation; the following proceedings were had:

The Court voted 3-0 to approve the 2006 Sheriff and Constable fees for certain services rendered. Commissioner Pargas was not present for this agenda item. A copy of said fees are attached to these minutes.

The Court approved, by a vote of 3-0, the second amended list of Election Judges and Alternate Judges for the 2005/2006 term. A copy of the list is attached to these minutes.

Auditor outlined and discussed with the Court the proposed 2006 tax rate.

Court accepted the following 2006 tax rate for Uvalde County with Judge
Mitchell, Commissioner Scheide, Commissioner Pargas, Commissioner Bates and
Commissioner Moreno voting in favor of the same.

Court adopted the attached salary schedule of all elected county and precinct
officials, by a vote of 4-0. Attached to
these minutes is a copy of said schedule.

interested citizens were present for the public hearing on the proposed
2005-2006 Uvalde County budget.

The
Court adopted the 2005-2006 Uvalde County Budget and Policies with Judge
Mitchell, Commissioner Scheide, Commissioner Pargas,
Commissioner Bates, and Commissioner Moreno voting in favor of the same.
The
2005-2006 budget includes policies in regard to sick leave; mileage; and cost
of living.

CONSIDER
Due
to the absence of the Road Administrator, Judge Mitchell gave a brief update on
the bridge construction. No action was
taken under this agenda item.
