ACT UPON ISSUING CASH FLOW TAX NOTES AND GIVING AUTHORIZATION TO THE COUNTY’S
FINANCIAL ADVISOR AND STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
FINANCING:

The Court unanimously (4-0) approved authorization, for Mark McLiney of Southwest Securities, to proceed with the preparation of documents pertaining to the issuance of 2007 tax anticipation notes.

CONSIDER AND
ACT UPON JOIN RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LEGISLATION TO RAISE EDWARDS AQUIFER
PUMPING CAP FROM 450,000 ACRE FEET TO NOT LESS THAN 549,000 ACRE FEET:
· Upon motion of Commissioner Moreno
· Second by Commissioner Pargas
The Court unanimously (4-0) approved a Resolution in support of raising the Edwards Aquifer pumping cap from 450,000 acre feet to not less than 549,000 acre feet. The motion included the opposition to legislation that would allow the Edwards Aquifer Authority to unilaterally issue bonds. A copy of said Resolution is attached to these minutes.

ACT UPON OPENING BANK DEPOSITORY BIDS:
The following bank depository bids were opened and set aside, with the award of the same to be at the meeting of May 14, 2007.

-Uvalde National Bank

ACT UPON FIRST DRAFT OF 2007-2008 UVALDE
Judge Mitchell presented the first draft of the 2007-2008 proposed budget.
Workshops will be conducted in June 2007, with the adoption of the same to take place after the Court receives the final tax figures from the Appraisal District. No action was taken under this agenda item.

Road Administrator Jesse Garcia gave the following activity report, with no action taken:
