The Court opened with the Honorable William R. Mitchell giving the invocation; the following proceedings were had:

CONSIDER AND
ACT UPON APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

The Minutes of March 27, 2006 were unanimously approved as written.

CONSIDER AND
ACT UPON ADOPTING BAN ON OUTDOOR BURNING:
· Upon motion of Commissioner Bates
· Second by Commissioner Pargas
The Court unanimously approved the adoption of an ORDER RESTRICTING OUTDOOR BURNING, pursuant to Local Government Code 352.08. A copy of said Order is attached to these minutes.

ACT UPON CONCERNS OF MOTOR SIZE LIMITS AT COOKSEY
The Court discussed an Order that was adopted in January 2006 which set the maximum size of motors used on motorboats operated on lakes within the County of Uvalde. The following persons expressed their opinions regarding this matter:

No action was taken under this agenda item at this meeting, but will be studied further and possibly be brought back to the Court in the future.

ACT UPON RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK:

The Court unanimously approved a RESOLUTION proclaiming April 23-29, 2006 as
County Government Week in

CONSIDER AND
ACT UPON ROAD ADMINISTRATORS REPORT:
Road Administrator Wayne Everett gave the Court the following activity report, with no action being taken.
-Department assisted with extinguishing two brush fires in northern
-Routine maintenance
-Progress report on 7 Bluff Bridge

CONSIDER AND ACT UPON LINE ITEM BUDGET AMENDMENTS:
None were presented to the Court for approval.
The Court unanimously approved the bills for payment.
